Valentine's 2011 with my Little Loves

Last Monday, was Valentine's Day. I spent the day with my little loves of course. We played in the morning & went to the Y then met our friends, Ashley & Mia at the Train Park that afternoon to take advantage of the nice weather. I can't imagine loving any 2 babies more than these two!!!

Weekend Recap

2 parties in 2 days. Saturday late afternoon we went to The Smith's going away party. We met Rachel &  Presley through our mommy baby group when Emma Kate & Presley weren't even a year. It's always sad to see a friend move away, especially when you're getting closer & hanging out more often. It just makes it that much more of a bummer. Their party was a fun time! Catered food, margs, & babies playing was a nice evening.
Then, today we went to my childhood friend, Erica's little girl, Jayla's 3rd birthday party at Pump It Up. Emma Kate loves that place because she loves sliding! Here are the pics we snapped this weekend.

Snowed In for 5 days in Texas?!?

Last week we were iced in for 5 days!! Yes, you read it correctly 5 days inside our home with 2 babies under 2 & I didn't go insane. Stir crazy yes! I think my saving grace was that Brett working from home 3 out of 4 days. I've never seen Dallas with this type of ice/snow, pretty crazy. Most school districts close for 4 straight days which is unheard of around here!  Here are some pics from last week.

Singing the ABC's

Emma Kate has been singing her ABC's since September & I've tried various times to catch it on video...without succeeding. She'll either stop singing or say "no Mommy." But finally Tuesday night she started singing the song & I caught it! Yes, with one pause to say "get the boys get the boys." (the boys being Daddy & Jackson who went ahead to the bath tub.)

Beautiful January Park Weather

Who would have thought it was January this past weekend?! We took advantage of this nice weather & went to the park Saturday & Sunday. Emma Kate LOVES the park. She loves climbing, sliding, running, & doing it over and over again. Jackson is the sweetest baby brother who goes along for the ride. He does enjoy swinging. I see many more park trips this year. It brightens my day to see her having such a wonderful carefree time playing outside. It's even better when it's my family of four all there!
*Also, at the end I put a video I took last week when I took the babies solo to the park one afternoon. I'm still in shock how a year ago she couldn't walk/climb & now she's off & running! Enjoy!
* P.S. - as I'm posting this it's currently 16 degrees outside! Seriously sunny 60's to freezing temps now.
