First Family Vacation ~ Day 3

Thursday, September 6, 2012
What a beautiful day it was! We did the beach in the morning. Oh & of course, Jackson going back & forth every 5 minutes up the walkway to the indoor shower just to play & rise off in the hose. He's such a little character! After the kids took their naps we headed to the outlet mall. The kids played on a playground there & rode the carousel. Then, we went to LuLu's (YAY!) for an early dinner. I've been there once before (Lulu is Jimmy Buffet's sister. So imagine a super fun, live music playing, huge kids sandbox & mountain, & tasty food restaurant.) We got a table right by "the beach" (kids area). Emma Kate & Jackson enjoyed climbing the sand mountain...EK did not stop until our food came!  Needless to say, they both slept well that night. :)

I'll never forget this moment of my precious boy playing so contently & focused on the empty beach.

Brett was on the balcony when this flew right by at eye level.
Pretty cool!

Lets go to the outlet mall & Lulu's.
This is what he did every.single.time! Obsessed with BUTTONS & DOORS!

Lulu's
First trip up the sand mountain...hundreds more to follow!
There goes brother!

Made it!
That's his "cheese" face!

Love it!
He would wash his hands & feet in this fountain after sand contact.
Lulu's store & just cleaning off some shades. Wonder where he has seen this before?!

First Family Vacation ~ Day 2

Wednesday, September 5, 2012: This was our first full day in Orange Beach. The weather wasn't the best that day, on & off clouds/rain. We managed some beach time that morning & indoor pool swimming later that afternoon. That night we went out to Doc's Seafood...a delicious "hole in the wall" old looking place. Thanks, Rachel for the recommendation! Best shrimp!! The kids loved going out to dinner every night.

9am beach arrival...only with 2 kids do you arrive this early. (they had been up since 6:30am & there was no more delaying them in the condo.)

Just perfect...

Emma Kate loved making "sand balls" & then throwing them into the ocean. It's funny what a 3 year old comes up with!
Quick pool visit.
Back to the beach.

Sandy feet...priceless!
Here she goes...

Into the ocean the "sand ball" goes!

It started raining that afternoon so we headed to the indoor pool. This guy liked the big tube to chill in.
Ready for dinner at Doc's
Almost impossible to get them both looking & smiling at the SAME time!
There we go (almost!)

Now mama isn't looking.
Love these girls! My family!
