Happy 2nd Birthday, Jackson Reid!!

Thursday, March 15th, 2012: Jackson turned TWO!! We took A LOT of pictures so I'm going to keep it brief on my words & do multi posts to split the pics. It was a wonderful day celebrating Mr. Man!! Daddy made pancakes for breakfast before work, J opened a couple of gifts, the kids came with me to workout at the gym, we stopped by the cleaners for a visit to Lolly & Pop, lunch, naps, then FINALLY Chuck E Cheese (Emma Kate was beyond excited & ready to go!) Lolly & Pop joined us for playing games, rides, & dinner there.

Two Years Ago...

Big, swollen, emotional were 3 good words to sum me up. This time 2 years ago, we had finished up a family dinner at my parents house & I was rocking Emma Kate to sleep. I was overcome with emotions running through me.  I told her how much I loved & adored her, she would always be first my baby, how sorry I was if this was a trying time with a newborn & her not even being 11 months old, & that I wasn't sure how I was going to do it (being 2 kids less than a year apart!), but I would try my hardest everyday! Also, I just wanted her to know that my love for her would still be just as strong as ever!
Two years later, I can say that I'm emotion again. Something inside me gets emotional right before my kids birthdays. I just cannot imagine life without them! I thank God every day for knowing exactly what me & our family needed to be complete (i.e Jackson Reid).

My Birthday Gift Arrived

It was a "big" birthday for me & BH really came through for making it special. He did 3 gifts for me: a monogram initial necklace, a trip coming up to Mexico with my college BFF's/spouses (big deal for us to pull this off with 5 couples & us having 2 kids!), & custom window treatments/curtains. Yes, my age is reflecting when I'm this thrilled over curtains for my living room! I wanted to show off some before & after pictures (sorry they are all taken with my iphone & at night). I love the way they finish off the room & add a touch of design/color.

February Had Some Fun Park Days

My least favorite month is February, just a little fact about me. However, this February was pretty great! We had mild winter weather so we were outside quite a bit. :) The park is a favorite spot by my little people!
