Celebrating a DECADE of MARRIAGE!!!

{December 18, 2014}
Brett & I hit the 10 year mark of being married! I cannot imagine not being married to this man. I think back on the young straight out of college 22 year old I was marrying my college sweetheart who stole my heart & how that was truly the best decision of my life. I just 100% knew he was the one for me & have never looked back. To be honest Brett has far exceeded my expectations as a husband & father (which I must state I have pretty high expectations!) and that's just the man he is.

He took the day off work to spend it together (which doesn't happen often.) Little did we know that we would spend half our day going to the kids back to back holiday school parties. We wouldn't have missed being there for anything.

I planned a little themed "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" anniversary date. We enjoyed spending time together & celebrating us!! Loved thinking back about what we were doing 10 years ago & where we are today. Love you, Big Guy xoxo

 Something Old - Having lunch at Sammy's our rehearsal dinner spot 10 yr. old.

 Something Borrowed - Fun to cruise around in this for a little while. Thank you Dad.

 Galleria tree is one of my favs!
Something Blue - he desperately needed new jeans.

Emma Kate's Kinder holiday party

Up next was to set-up for Jackson's preschool Christmas party

Something New - A horse drawn carriage ride as a family through Highland Park to see the Christmas lights.

Perfect ending to celebrating 10 wonderful years together! xoxo

A Nice Warm Day in December

{December 2014}
One day after we picked up EK from school it was warm & we headed to the park straight from the carline. Sometimes when our Texas weather somewhat surprises us it's nice to simply take advantage. Then, I also wanted to include pictures from that night before bed in their matching holiday jammies. Love these two more than words can say!

 Always a little monkey.

 EK "coached" Jackson into learning how to start doing the rings that day.

Race Weekend

{December 12-14, 2014}
We had a busy & fun-filled weekend of the race. My sister-in-law & I decided to do the Dallas half together this year & we had a really great time running together almost the whole way. My 4th half in the books! I get more proud of myself every time (as each year adds on to my age ha!)

We started the weekend off with an early 8am basketball game for EK where she scored her FIRST & SECOND BASKETS of her career!!

We all went to ICE at the Gaylord that day. Snow tubing, big blue coats, & 9 degrees inside the Frosty display.

 Race day!
 Mile 6.5 & seeing our kids & husbands cheering for us. Yay!

 Finish line in sight!

What the husbands & kids were doing during our race:
