Jackson Gets Registered for Kindergarden!

{April 8, 2015}

Kinder Roundup approached. I told Jackson I was going to delete the email where I was supposed to register him online in the district. He got a concerned look and said "can you do that?" I then cracked a smile & said "no, of course not! You're ready & going to kindergarten come August!"

 I was asked to make a photo booth at roundup in the PTA room so parents could get some shots of their kids while registering. So whenever your Mom is in charge of something you get to be the first one to try it out!  He also helped the moms & myself hang the background. And then this led to him being the very first student registered for kinder at Castle Hills!

Jackson's 2015 Spring Season Opener

{April 2015}
Season opener for The Cubs was good & then we got lots of rain so they didn't get to play for awhile. Now they've had 4 games total so far. Jackson is doing wonderful! Loves hitting & playing in the field. He such a great listener & is one of the ones Coach Brett aka Daddy never has to repeat instructions to. Proud of them both! EK loves tball games because she has a whole group of girls who are sisters to all these boys on the team. They are so cute together.

The same weekend Brett filled in with his work softball team in a tournment. He had some pretty good catches at third. Still got it #25!!

EK Lost Her First Tooth

{April 6, 2015}

Good Friday the kids had a sleepover at Lolly & Pop's. My mom sent me a text that evening that EK had her first loose tooth (wasn't like that when we dropped her off). Fast forward to Monday at school when she bit down on her sandwich & it came out! She was so proud & excited to show us when she got into the car that afternoon. Tiniest little baby tooth! That night she used her "Tooth Fairy" pillow Adele gave her when she was a baby & I thought to myself she'd never be big enough to lose teeth. She woke up to money from the tooth fairy & thought that was pretty neat!

Easter weekend 2015

{April 2-5, 2015}
We had such a wonderful Easter weekend starting on Thursday because for the first time ever Emma Kate had a school hoilday & Jackson did have school so that meant...Mommy EK day & then she got to join us at Jackson's class Easter party. Everyone was excited for it! Thursday I let her pick whatever she wanted to do after we dropped brother off. First she got to play at a park with her bff, Anna, then she wanted to go paint pottery, & next was a patio lunch together. We headed to Jackson's class party. It was very sweet seeing how happy both kids were.

Good Friday we spent as a family & went to Topgolf in the morning. Saturday EK had a soccer game with great weather to play at a park afterwards with a friend from her team.

Easter morning the bunny left goodies for the kids in their baskets. We managed in the rain to make it to the early church service. Yay us!! Then we met my parents for brunch out at the Cowboys Golf Club with a great brunch. Last part of the day was a egg hunt at Lolly & Pop's.

It was a really wonderful weekend of family time & the kids retold the Easter story to me which made me proud they understood the reason for the holiday.

Just like the old days all heading to preschool together.

So lucky for the sweet lady! What an awesome preschool teacher & friend!
